Application Channels
- Personal self-funded application: Students can apply directly to Chongqing schools or through relevant institutions.
- Government exchange: Applications can be made according to bilateral exchange agreements between governments. Applicants can apply to the government department responsible for sending international students in their home country, relevant institutions, or the Chinese embassy (consulate) in the host country.
- Inter-school exchange: Applications can be made according to inter-school exchange agreements.
- Self-recruitment scholarship projects of Chongqing schools: Applications can be made to Chongqing schools that undertake this project.
- Group recommendation: Recommended by foreign schools, educational institutions, or friendly organizations through relevant Chongqing institutions or directly to Chongqing universities.
Application Materials
- Prepare application materials and fill out the application form for studying in China;
- Provide a photocopy or scanned copy of the personal passport;
- Provide personal academic degree certificates and transcripts;
- Provide HSK test scores (if applying for English-taught courses, generally TOFEL or IELTS scores are required, except for applicants whose native language is English);
- If applying for master's or doctoral degrees, provide two recommendation letters from individuals with associate professor level or equivalent titles;
- Provide a personal study or research plan statement (required by some schools or programs);
- Prepare the "Physical Examination Record for Foreigners";
- For self-funded international students, in addition to providing the above materials, they must provide proof of financial support. Applicants under the age of 18 must provide proof of a guardian in China;
- Other necessary application materials.
