WHY CHONGQING

What Makes Chongqing a Preferred Destination

A Historic and Cultural City

Chongqing (shortened as "Yu") is a culturally renowned city with a history of over 3000 years, surrounded by the Yangtze River and the Jialing River. It is the starting point of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River and the birthplace of the Bayu culture. Chongqing boasts three World Natural Heritage sites, namely the Wulong Karst Scenic Area, Jinfoshan Mountain Karst and Wushan Wulipo, and one World Cultural Heritage site, the Dazu Rock Carvings.
