Graduation Experience of the Tanzania Construction Engineering Middle and Senior Management Joint Training Program at Chongqing Engineering Vocational and Technical College
First of all, On behalf of my fellow trainees I would like to extend our highest respect and most sincere gratitude to all of you who have attended this graduation ceremony. Our heartfelt appreciation to all the facilitators who have assisted with this Training program including the Chongqing Municipal Government, CQVIE Leaders Administration, Lecturers, Teachers and trainees together with the various different local construction companies together with Group Six Company Ltd. You have warmly welcomed and embraced us all. The dedication you have shown towards us is truly commendable because the success of this Construction Management Training Workshop can largely be credited to you and we can’t thank you enough for that.
As the Chinese proverb says ‘Yù bù zhuó, bù chéng qì’ One cannot become useful without being educated”. Learning is the best reward and training is the greatest benefit, thank you for providing us a platform to learn and acquire skills that will improve our comprehensive ability in our construction industry. Although the training was short it was full of great new knowledge and information of innumerable content. All of us felt that we have gained a lot and benefited a lot from this training program that will in return have a huge impact in the development of our construction industry.
The overall arrangement of classroom and construction site explored a new dual system of school and enterprise cooperation mode. Established a good complementary integration mechanism between the professional education of the college and the work practice of enterprise according to the requirements of practical work experience of construction in the construction industry. The vast knowledge gained through lectures and site visits included Chinese culture, construction technology and management, application of Chinese highway engineering, testing technology, Quality control and management of construction engineering materials, application of BIM technology, digital mapping, industrial robot technology and many other aspects involving of civil engineering management. The knowledge and technology from various experts and fields from the contents of our lectures and site visit have been inspiring, stimulating and thought inspiring. We have now completed the one month training program even though there still many new things need to be learnt explored and practiced.
My fellow trainees I am aware that the last past month has been exhausting but also stimulating as we tried to master the vast amount of new information that was exposed to us. Your inputs, ideas, discussions and the never ending challenging questions to various experts surely made this workshop advantageous, collaborative and valuable. However we now have a great responsibility as we are going back to our respective jobs. We should all strive to work hard and keep learning new knowledge, skills and technology as we face new challenges and strive to open up to new modern technological advancements.
Our sincere gratitude to the combined effort of Tanzania and China Governments and their esteemed leaders in establishing the Lu Ban Workshop. We would like to convey our sincere gratitude and thanks to His Excellency the president of the People’s Republic of China President Xi Jinping and Her Excellency the president of United Republic of Tanzania Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan who keep on inspiring us in all aspects of leadership, we look forward for great cooperation between Tanzania and China. Tanzanian and China have had a long history of a great value cooperating with each other in enjoying a political, economic and a social relationship. Thank you for this great friendship that makes progress together. I hope we can enhance friendship between Tanzania and China, enhance and strengthen our cooperation so that we can make a joint effort in pushing forward the future construction of our cities and our future as a whole.
