Chongqing Industrial & Trade Polytechnic (CQITP) is a full-time general higher vocational school held by the people's government of Chongqing. It is honored as “Chongqing Municipal Advanced Unit for Vocational Education”,“Chongqing Municipal Model Vocational College. Since the establishment of school in 1936, more than 100,000 technical talents and management talents have been cultivated for the country.
The college is located in Fuling, the hinterland of the Three Gorges Reservoir Region, and the intersection of Yangtze and Wujiang River, which is also the town of pickled mustard. CQITP covers an area of 330,000 square meters with 453million in fixed assets, 119 million RMB of equipment for teaching and research, 7 intramural productive training bases, 160 internal training rooms and a 2.01million volume library collection.
The college has 10 teaching institutions, including the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, the School of Artificial Intelligence, the School of Finance and Economics, the School of Health, the School of Architecture and Engineering, the School of Vehicle Engineering, the School of Education, the School of Continuing Education, the School of Marxism, and the International Exchange and Cooperation Center. It offers 49 majors including Mechatronics Technology, Industrial Robot Technology, Big Data Technology and Application, Artificial Intelligence Technology Application, Big Data and Accounting, Drug Production Technology, Automobile Manufacturing and Testing Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, and Preschool Education. There are 2 National Backbone Majors, 1 High-level Professional Group of Chongqing's "Double High Plan", 4 High-quality Professional Groups of Chongqing, 5 Backbone Majors of Chongqing, 4 Demonstration Majors of Chongqing, 3 Dual Base Majors of Chongqing, 1 Professional Capacity Improvement Project Major of Chongqing, and 5 School-enterprise Cooperation majors in the majors. Currently, there are over 12000 full-time students enrolled.

Since 2017, we have recruited four batches of 48 Myanmar international students, of whom 12 have graduated in 2020 with a 100% employment rate. The students have provided excellent feedback and have received widespread praise from all sectors of society. Currently, there are 32 registered international students with academic degrees in the fields of Mechatronics Technology, Applied Chemical Technology, and Applied Electronic Technology.
