Chongqing Chemical Industry Vocational College is a public full-time general institution of higher education organized by Chongqing Municipal People's Government, under the supervision of Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, and jointly built by Chongqing Municipal Education Commission and Chongqing Municipal Economy and Informatization Commission. The college was founded in 1964 through the merger of Chongqing Chemical Industry Workers' University and Chongqing Chemical Medicine Technician College. Chongqing Chemical Industry Vocational College has two campuses, Jiangbei and Changshou. The Jiangbei campus is located in the GUANYIN BRIDGE commercial circle, which is a national 4A urban tourism area. The Changshou campus is located in the Bodhi Mountain Cultural Park, which is a national 4A tourism scenic area. The college covers an area of nearly 400,000 square meters with a building area of nearly 200,000 square meters and more than 15,000 students. Relying on two national and four municipal key majors, the college has constructed nine major professional clusters with two municipal "double-high" (i.e., high level high vocational school and high level professional group) professional groups of applied chemical technology and pharmaceutical production technology as the core. More than 30% of its teachers have associate professor title or above, more than 65% have master's degree or above, and more than 75% have double certificates or double titles, i.e., "teacher + intermediate or above technical positions".
