Chongqing Vocational College of Information Technology

Chongqing Vocational College of Information Technology was established in 1995 and officially approved in 2001 with the Ministry of Education code 12755. As an important base for the cultivation of urgently needed computer and software technology talents, the college has received numerous honors, including the title of Chongqing Model Software College. The college boasts three modern campuses—Jinlong, Tiancheng, and Baian—covering nearly 1000 acres, with over 600 faculty members, 10 secondary colleges, more than 40 majors, and 18,000 students.
With the mission of "helping young people from small towns change their destinies," the college adheres to the principle of service and employment orientation, integrating industry, education, and research. Upholding the educational philosophy that "no one is a complete talent, everyone has talent, everyone can become talented, and everyone can fulfill their potential," the college continuously strengthens its connotation and improves the quality of education. In talent cultivation, the college innovates in school-enterprise cooperation, exploring the "Golden Triangle" model, building a cooperative system among students, enterprises, and the school, and promoting personalized education and precise cultivation.
The college has five training bases and 58 training rooms, with stable internship cooperation with more than 230 enterprises, forming a school-enterprise cooperative education system to meet the needs of practical teaching. It has taken the lead in establishing the Chongqing Internet Industry Vocational Education Group, constructing a "highway" for vocational education talent cultivation, with a stable employment rate of over 95% for graduates, and continuously improving employment quality.
In terms of internationalization, the college actively responds to the "Belt and Road" initiative by establishing an overseas business department to develop international cooperation and create an international learning platform. It has signed cooperation agreements with universities in several countries on projects such as academic advancement, joint college establishment, and credit recognition.
Currently, the college is actively exploring new models of "Internet + Education," innovating in vocational education and talent cultivation, achieving deep school-enterprise cooperation, integrating education with industry, and enhancing the quality of talent cultivation, striving towards the goal of becoming a "world-class vocational university."
